Two calculators and one self-reflection tool
None of these predict an outcome and none of them are stored. They turn the marketing language around slots into arithmetic you can actually check.
Free help, before anything else
If any of this has stopped feeling like entertainment, these are free and independent. None of them are commercial partners of ours.
- National problem-gambling helplines take calls, texts and chats about play that has stopped feeling fun — confidentially, and at any hour.
- Free self-exclusion programmes exist for both physical venues and most licensed online operators, and they are usually set up in minutes.
- A GP or primary-care doctor can refer you for talking support without it going on a public record.
- Free, confidential budgeting and debt-advice charities can help regardless of how the spending happened.
What a session actually costs
Enter a stake, a pace and a game's published RTP and this works out the arithmetic — total staked, expected cost, cost per hour. It never outputs a predicted win, because there is no honest way to calculate one for an individual session.
What this is based on
- Expected cost equals total staked multiplied by the house edge, where the house edge is 100% minus the game's published RTP.
- RTP figures used here should come from a game's own published, independently audited figure — this tool does the arithmetic, it does not supply or guess an RTP for any specific game.
- The output is always framed as a cost of entertainment, never as a step toward a prediction.
What it cannot tell you: This is a long-run average calculation. It cannot tell you what any single session will actually cost or return — real sessions vary widely in both directions around this number, and that variance is normal, not a sign the maths is wrong.

RTP is an average, not a prediction
A game with 96% RTP does not return 96 cents on every dollar in any single session — it is a long-run average across millions of spins. Your own session can cost far more or far less than the average suggests, in either direction, and nothing about timing, stake size or pattern changes that average.
Session budget planner
Enter what you have decided to spend, a stake and an RTP, and this shows roughly how long that budget lasts on average, and what a smaller stake buys in time. It is a planning tool for entertainment cost, never a way to plan how to win it back.
What this is based on
- The expected cost per spin is the stake multiplied by the house edge; dividing the budget by that figure gives the average number of spins it buys.
- A second row shows the same calculation at half the stake, since stake size is the one variable a player fully controls.
What it cannot tell you: These are averages, not a forecast. Because of volatility, the actual outcome of any given session can run out much faster or last much longer than this estimate, in either direction.

Eight plain questions about your own play, answered privately in your browser. This does not diagnose or label you — it describes a pattern, and where the pattern is more serious it leads with free, outside support before anything else.
What this is based on
- The questions track spending versus planning, chasing losses, concealment and displacement of other activities — documented patterns associated with play that has stopped being purely recreational, described here as situations rather than diagnoses.
- No band uses a clinical label. Every band describes what the pattern looks like and what a reasonable next step is.
- The most serious band leads with free, outside support before any other content, and no commercial link appears anywhere in this tool or its result, at any band.
What it cannot tell you: This is not a diagnostic instrument and it does not produce a clinical assessment. Only a qualified professional can assess whether a pattern of play has become a clinical concern — this tool can only reflect back what you have told it.
Runs entirely in your browser. Your answers are never sent anywhere, never stored, and never written into the web address.
